TRYING OUT A CLASS
Thank you for your interest in scheduling a trial lesson with us. We are honored for the opportunity to share with you the valuable Martial Arts skills that have helped empower not only our own lives but the lives of millions of other practitioners around the world.
Although we know that one class is not enough for anyone to feel the immense benefits that our training provides, this is the best way for the participant to experience firsthand the atmosphere and culture at Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

Trial lessons are scheduled during a regular group lesson. This allows the participant to get an exact idea of what the training atmosphere is like avoiding any surprises after enrollment. During the trial, the participant will see how experienced, charismatic, friendly, and professional our instructors are and how much fun the training is!
TRIAL CLASS FORMAT
A regular trial lesson lasts about 55 minutes long. It starts with a warm-up session that includes different functional exercises and stretching. The Instructor will work one-on-one with the participant as follows, answering any questions about training he or she may have while teaching the intro curriculum class. Each program has its own intro material:
YOUTH PROGRAM (4-14 Year-Olds)
The trial class starts with the participant being introduced to the entire class. Current students line up and approach the trial student one by one, welcoming him or her to the class. The intro material taught here will depend on the age group the participant is in.
*Due to extremely high demand, all of the classes within the Youth Jiu-Jitsu Programs are currently full. To find out more about getting added to our waitlists, please call us!
For membership pricing options, ask about booking an appointment for a site visit, and we’ll discuss all options in person. While on-site, a Membership Application to apply to be added to our waitlist is available upon request.
What Our Students Are Saying...
“Since I moved to the East Bay (from San Francisco), I have been seeking a Jiu-Jitsu school for some time. I checked out Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy and noticed they have their process streamlined for new students.
I mean that it's set up to filter out those who really want to train versus those who think they can walk in with an attitude and have an ego. I understand why Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has the application process. I highly encourage other schools to do this. Trust me, this will make a difference!
I attended my trial session and enjoyed it very much last night. A great workout in a friendly, clean, and professional environment.
The two young ladies at the front desk were very helpful and professional and answered all my questions. The rules, reading material, and vision align with my values, and I look forward to learning, exercising, and connecting with everyone.
Professor Ryan Murphy's approach to the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu art/instruction is informative and easy to understand. I enjoyed the pace for my age and everyone's willingness to assist and answer my questions when partnered during the session.
I also appreciate Professor Ryan's professionalism and respect for the art and his students via my first impression during my trial session. Thanks!"
