19-year-old Aaliana Miranda first started her Jiu-Jitsu journey with us nearly 15 years ago when she trained for about a year. Yes, she was little! 👧🏼
She returned to Jiu-Jitsu three months ago and has been attending the Adult No-Gi Summer Camp religiously. 💪🏼
Here, she’s seen working on establishing side control as part of Class #9 of our 16-class camp with long-time purple belt student @kbake307, helping her with the technique.
Kyle is helping her with adjusting her body weight distribution, shoulder pressure on the jaw, and knowing when to brace and post when losing her balance as a result of her opponent’s efforts to flip her over.
We are always thrilled to meet new students and excited to guide them through the Jiu-Jitsu journey, but there’s something special about seeing former members return to the training. No matter how old they were then and are now, or how long their hiatus was.🤩
