At 58 years young, Chris Harris is proving that age is no barrier to passion and perseverance. He began his Jiu-Jitsu journey alongside his son in 2017 and has been a dedicated presence on the mats ever since.
Chris is a man of discipline and resilience. Spending over 35 years enlisted in the U.S. Army and retiring at the rank of Colonel, he knows a thing or two about not giving up and pushing forward.
Through ups and downs, including multiple injuries and even a double-hip surgery that sidelined him for over a year, Chris’s commitment never wavered. This Military Veteran stayed connected to his training by faithfully observing from the sidelines when he couldn’t step onto the mat, demonstrating his unwavering determination and love for the art.
Chris is not only an inspiring role model for his son, a student in our Youth Program, but he’s also known for his quick wit and sense of humor, as you’ll watch in this reel.
Both father and son embody dedication, resilience, and coachability, and they’re a joy to have in our community.
Fantastic work, Chris! Your discipline, perseverance, and humor make you a true inspiration. Keep leading by example! 👏🏼
