Let’s give a big round of applause to the Hoffman family, the real MVPs of Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu!
It all started when husband and father Rick decided to jump into the world of Jiu-Jitsu way back in 2006. Fresh out of the Police Academy and ready to rock the county jail, Rick joined the training to improve his fitness levels and learn combative skills.
And boy, did he dive in headfirst! Rick lost over 40 pounds during his first year on the mat, and for the past 18 years, Rick’s been not only raising a family under the Bushido (Way of the Warrior) code and keeping the peace in our streets but also mastering the art of Jiu-Jitsu, earning his black belt in 2021.
Talk about multitasking and achievement!
But wait, there’s more!
The Hoffmans aren’t just a one-person show. They’re a whole squad of Jiu-Jitsu enthusiasts!
Daughters Sariah, who’s been an assistant instructor for the Youth Program for several years, and Eliana and sons Josiah and Ezra couldn’t resist the family fun and joined the training over time.
And let’s not forget about the newest Jiu-Jitsu player in the fam: wife Jessica, who, after completing her 12-week Beginner Program, earned her first stripe this week. Way to go, Jessica!
Here’s to the Hoffmans, showing us all how to balance work, family, and a whole lot of Jiu-Jitsu fun!
