Purple belt Reed Wilson supplementing his already strong Jiu-Jitsu game with some strength and conditioning training, w/ @_gabby_smith Smith at @greygroupfitness_cftakedown
He now joins another 6-8 students who joined the nearby Crossfit affiliate and are embracing the LIFESTYLE outside the mats.
Being fit is a mindset first and foremost. Live a fit physical and mental lifestyle 24/7, not just Jiu-Jitsu twice weekly. Don’t just come to class; train hard and give your all, and ruin it all by not staying on the path when outside the mat. Use your Jiu-Jitsu training to motivate you to stay on course after the class ends, and you walk out the door.
Train Jiu-Jitsu, do other forms of cardio, weight training, regulate your sleep, eat well, take supplements (check with your doctor first), drink a lot of water, join a yoga class here and there, the same for a spinning class, and always do some sort of workout when on vacation. Love, respect, stay grateful, and invest in your health, body, and subsequently mind 365/24/7.
Stay inspired. Surround yourself with those on the same mission as you. Inspire your children, spouses, and relatives to join the lifestyle. Inspire your friends and co-workers.
Always do what’s suitable for your health, not what’s convenient. Spread the health and wellness fever. The world (especially post-pandemic) needs it!
