Celebrating 10 Years of Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu: Honoring Maris Goldsborogh
At Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, we are proud to recognize students who embody the true spirit of perseverance, and few represent it better than Maris Goldsborogh.
A student for nearly half of our 20-year history, Maris, 58, is a retired San Francisco police officer whose passion, humor, and resilience inspire everyone who shares the mats with him.
Years ago, after surviving a devastating head-on collision caused by an oncoming driver while returning home from work, Maris faced immense physical challenges. Yet, through determination and adaptability, he continued his Jiu-Jitsu journey, modifying his training while never stepping away from his commitment.
Maris’s presence extends far beyond regular classes. He attends every belt ceremony and guest seminar, setting an example of dedication, community support, and lifelong learning for students of all ages.
Maris, your journey motivates us all. Thank you for being a true pillar of our Academy.
Here’s to many more years of shared growth and inspiration together!
