Congratulations, Fred Pique—2024 Adult Program Student of the Year and Best Attendance Award Winner!

Fred’s journey at the Academy began as a supportive parent, watching his daughter Farrah’s classes alongside his wife, Jasmina. This 42-year-old’s curiosity about Jiu-Jitsu was evident early on, as he engaged instructors with thoughtful questions about techniques, showing a natural interest in the art.

In June 2022, Fred took the next step and began his own Jiu-Jitsu journey, joining his children Farrah and Julian on the mats. From day one, Fred has exemplified consistency and hard work, always bringing a calm and approachable presence to the Academy.

Whether assisting less experienced teammates, training with family, or spending extra time on the Muay Thai mat drilling before his class, Fred’s dedication is unmatched.

Fred has embraced challenges, competing in the Jiu-Jitsu World League as a White Belt alongside his son and later as a Blue Belt with his daughter and niece. His passion and commitment have inspired several other family members, including his wife Jasmina, sister Marlene, and nieces Iylia and Zarah, to begin their own Jiu-Jitsu journeys.

Fred embodies the core values of martial arts: learning, giving back, and building a supportive community. His leadership and example continue to enhance the culture of Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

Freat attended an impressive 209 classes this year, earning him the Best Attendance Award. Great work, Fred! We are proud to have you and the Pique Family as part of our student body!
