2014 U.S. Open Photo Album & Results

The 2014 U.S. Open is over and our competition team finished in 5th place teams, out of over 120 participating Academies. With a 5th place at last year's US Open and a 4th place at this year's American Cup, the two largest tournaments in NorCal, we have solidified ourselves as a force to be reckoned with in the competition circuit. 

This weekend, we won 12 Gold, 7 Silver and 15 Bronze medals out of 45 competitors. We will continue to prioritize our teachings towards Street Self-Defense and Personal Excellence, but also striving to continue improving our competition records. Thank you to our staff for the commitment in providing a world class teaching environment, the parents for the support and our students for their dedication to the training, you are amazing! 

Congratulations to everyone who competed, as well as everyone else who contributed to help your teammates reach their goals and our Academy reach another outstanding result!

I enrolled my youngest son with Crosley Gracie Jiu Jitsu 8 years ago. He was 14 and needed something to help him be more physically active. We tried football and baseball, nothing held his attention until we found Jiu Jitsu. After watching the program for a couple months, I joined. This has been one of the best things I could have done. My son and I enjoy having something we do together, it has created an incredible bond. The academy has become a second family to both of us. Every student, current and past, are like brothers and sisters in arms. Crosley, Ryan and the rest of the instructors are some of the most patient, and at the same time motivational instructors. Each one of them has shown me a new way to look at things, a different way to evaluate every problem, even problems not directly related to Jiu Jitsu. I believe this program has made me an all around better person, and I am grateful for everyone in this extended family for it.

TLDR: Just sign up, it's fun, difficult, and one of the most rewarding things you could ever do.

I have 2 daughters at Crosley and them and I couldn't be happier! One does Muay Thai and the other Jiu-Jitsu. Both have a good mix of boys and girls (which is important when you have girls) in the classes. The staff is wonderful not only to the students but to the parents and well. A number of times I have had staff come talk to me about the girls telling me how they are doing and what they see. I really appreciate how this business runs its business both professionally and pro-family.
